The country’s biggest charity event expected to raise BD50,000 this year. More than 3,350 runners in 208 teams took part in the annual Bahrain Marathon Relay (BMR) at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Sakhir yesterday. The 37th edition of the run, which aims to raise funds for numerous charity events and societies in Bahrain, was organised by the Bahrain Round Table and Rotaract Bahrain. The top three winning teams were Joud, Bapco and Meem Bahrain. The categories were: open men/mix, schools under-18, open women, hotels, schools/college over-18, sports/ social clubs, telecommunication/IT, financial institutions, #househarriers (running clubs in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia) and construction sector.
TeamNass made a unique participation at the event, wherein the runners included Nass Director, General Manager, Regional Heads, Head of Department and employees.
